Paperarchiver Online Manual

Install and configuration

1. Download and extract paperarchiver_installer.zip
2. Execute paperarchiver_installer.exe as Windows user 'administrator'
3. Select the archive data folder for your documents
4. Enter a new password for default user 'administrator'
5. Confirm the new password for default user 'administrator'
6. Login as user 'administrator' and password

 

Archiving documents

The system creates two default archives (business and private)
You can create unlimited additional archives and add unlimited documents of all file types to created archives.

Add documents to archive

1. Select the Archive for the new document
2. Click on the scanner icon in toolbar
3. Select document source
    -Scan document (scans pages directly from installed, available Twain-Scanner)
    -import image (only graphic files available on hard drive, cd-rom, memory-stick,card)
    -add file (add any type of file available on hard drive, cd-rom, memory-stick,card)
    Images from file or scanner may be in paperarchiver displayed directly.
    Other files are opened with the windows associated program for the file type.


4. By first use of 'scan documents' you must select the default twain scanner
5. Click on next
(Please use grayscale settings for better performance)
6. You can add multiple documents at same time (simply Answer yes by question 'adding more pages?')
7. Enter description, keywords and category for the document
    (Subcategories are separated by the special character '/' )
    sample: insurance/car

8. Click update to save the new document in archive || cancel to abort

 

Searching for documents

Enter the keywords by and/or combination to find documents in archives

 

Changing the global archives data folder

Go to administration/options and click in archive folder to browse and create the folder on your drive.
After the change of the global archive data folder, the previously used archives are not available in the new folder.
To use the previously used archives simply change the archive data folder back to the folder who the archives are stored with the login option 'archive selection'.

Never forgot your password and backup the archive data folder regularly!!!
